OUR STORY
Gootchie Creek Escape is a 600 acre working cattle farm. Currently we are only running about 100 head of cattle here so we can allow campers to enjoy this beautiful piece of serenity. We have an abundant amount of wildlife on the property and we are sure you will see some while you stay.
We are a pet friendly camping retreat, all animals must be kept on a lead or in a pen at all times.
Fire pits are available for your use and fire wood is for sale in the Kiosk. We do ask that you DO NOT create a new fire on the ground, use pits provided at all times to reduce the risk of fires getting out of control. Fires will not be permitted when there is a total fire ban.
Generators are allowed between 5-6pm only to try and keep the retreat as serene as possible.

Amenities
At Gootchie Creek Escape we have male and female permanent amenities blocks. Complete with toilets,showers and baby bath. We care greatly about our environment and installed a large solar system to run our amenities blocks along with a large treatment plant, making everything sustainable and safe for our environment. As water is such a precious commodity we would like to ask that all campers are water wise and keep the length of showers to a minimum.

What an amazing spot to get away, relax and just take in the quiet country air. There is so much space to explore, while not on top of your neighbours. Nikki and Todd are super friendly and accommodating. The amenities were clean and tidy which is always a plus. The live entertainment was amazing and putting on movies under the stars for the kids was brilliant. Can’t wait to come back
Looking for a place to switch off from a hectic life, Gootchie Creek is the place to go. Vast area of green lush land to camp on. Only 15 minutes to nearest town Tiaro. The most amazing, friendly and accomodating owner’s. This family run business is newly open but I predict this will be a hotspot in no time at all. If you want to go as a large group or just hide away from the world there is enough camp ground to do either. Will definitely be back and recommending to all my friends and family. Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Gootchie Creek for an awesome time.
